SECTION 1 (One module)
Introduction to the study of Tai Chi Chuan
This course is a preparatory course and is specially designed to introduce the absolute beginner to the fundamentals of Tai Chi Chuan.
This course covers all the various stances and exercises that are designed to help beginners to acquaint themselves with the various moves that are part of the Tai Chi Form. The 18 exercises that are taught are based on Qi Gong that will develop an efficient flow of Chi Energy throughout the entire body thereby creating a healthy and stress free individual. It also helps to develop suppleness in the various joints and build up the necessary strength in the limbs and therefore facilitates the study of the modules.
This Section is compulsory in order to gain access to the Tai Chi course.
All Courses will be examined and certificated in order to maintain a standard of excellence.
The 18 Qi Gong exercises will be taught over an 8 week period:-
WK 1 - Warm up exercises & Stances
WK 2 - Commencing Form, Broadening One's Chest, Painting A Rainbow
WK 3 - Circling Arms Part The Cloud, Swinging At Stationary Position, Rowing Boat In The Middle Of A Lake
WK 4 - Holding A Ball In Front Of The Shoulders, Turning To Gaze At The Moon, Twisting Waist & Pushing Palms
WK 5 - Hands In The Cloud, Scooping From The Sea & Viewing The Sky, Playing With Waves
WK 6 - The Flying Dove Spreads It's Wings, Punching With Outstretched Arms, The Flying Goose
WK 7 - Spinning Wheels, Bouncing A Ball With Steps, Pressing The Palms In Calmness
WK 8 - Review & Test For Award Of Certificate (Optional)
The cost of this module will be £110 inclusive of association fees. A certificate will be awarded to all students who successfully complete the course.
SECTION 2 (Four modules)
The 37 Postures Long Fist Form
Eligibility for this Course will depend upon successful completion of the Introductory Tai Chi Qi Gong module.

Tai Chi Beginner - Module One
WK 1 - Opening & Ward Off Left
WK 2 - Grasp Sparrows Tail (Ward Off, Roll Back, Press & Push)
WK 3 - Single Whip
WK 4 - Lift Hands & Shoulder
WK 5 - White Crane Spreads Wings & Brush Knee Left
WK 6 - Play Pipa & Brush Knee Left
WK 7 - Step Forward, Parry & Punch
WK 8 - Withdraw & Cross Hands
The cost of this module will be £110 inclusive of association fees.
Tai Chi Beginner - Module Two
WK 1 - Embrace Tiger, Return To Mountain & Diagonal Single Whip
WK 2 - Punch Under Elbow
WK 3 - Repulse Monkey
WK 4 - Diagonal Flying & Wave Hands In Clouds
WK 5 - Wave Hands In Clouds & Single Whip
The cost of this module will be £100 inclusive of association fees.
Tai Chi Beginner - Module Three
WK 1 - Swallow Dive & Golden Cock Stands On Left
WK 2 - Golden Cock Stands On Right & Turn
WK 3 - Separate Right Foot
WK 4 - Separate Left Foot, Turn & Strike With Heel & Brush Left Knee
WK 5 - Rollback & Brush Knee Right
WK 6 - Punch Down
WK 7 - Grasp Sparrows Tail (Ward Off, Roll Back, Press & Push) & Single Whip
The cost of this module will be £120 inclusive of association fees.
Tai Chi Beginner - Module Four
WK 1 - Fair Lady Plays Shuttles 1&2
WK 2 - Fair Lady Plays Shuttles 3&4
WK 3 - Ward Off Left, Grasp Sparrows Tail & Single Whip
WK 4 - Swallow Dive & Step Forward to 7 Stars
WK 5 - Step Back Ride Tiger & Sweep Lotus With Leg
WK 6 - Bend Bow Shoot Tiger And Step Forward Parry & Punch
WK 7 - Withdraw, Punch & Cross Hands
The cost of this module will be £140 inclusive of association fees,
Tai Chi - Intermediate, Advanced and Instructor Level
Further courses will be offered to students who successfully complete the above modules.
